How ready is your company for an agentic AI transformation?

Twelve questions, two minutes, an honest answer. You get a score, the dimension holding you back, and a concrete action plan. If the truthful reading is that you should not build anything yet, it will say so.

Dimension 1 of 4Opportunity clarity

01Can you name the one workflow that costs your team the most manual hours?

02Is that workflow written down, so a new hire could follow it from documented steps?

03Do you know roughly what that workflow costs you per month (people × hours)?

Dimension 2 of 4Data and systems

04Where does the data that workflow needs actually live?

05Does the workflow's output have a clear “correct” someone could check?

06Do you know which of that data is personal or regulated (GDPR, industry rules)?

Dimension 3 of 4Team and adoption

07Is there a named person who wants this workflow fixed and has the authority to change it?

08How does the team closest to the workflow feel about AI-assisted work?

09Could someone review the system's edge cases for a few minutes a day?

Dimension 4 of 4Leadership and investment

10Is there budget for fixing this workflow?

11Has your company tried automating or applying AI to a process before?

12Does leadership back process change when it shows a return?

How the score works

One workflow. Four signals. One honest next step.

Each answer scores 0, 1, or 2. Your total out of 24 shows what to fix next, or whether it is time to build. It scores how ready one workflow is, not how advanced your technology is.

Opportunity clarity
Can you name and measure the workflow worth fixing? Vague targets fail on scope, not on technology.
Data and systems
Can the system reach its inputs and check its own output? No definition of correct, no reliable system.
Team and adoption
Will someone own the change and review the edge cases? Most automation dies from no owner, not a bad model.
Leadership and investment
Is there budget and backing to actually ship? A ready team under unconvinced leadership ships nothing.
What your score means

The four readiness bands.

Early (0-8 points)Not yet. Build the groundwork first.

An honest read: an agentic system would be premature. You would be automating a workflow nobody can name, measure, or own. That is how AI pilots stall. The good news: the groundwork costs weeks, not quarters.

  1. Pick the single workflow that feels most expensive and have the people who run it write down its steps. One page is enough.
  2. Estimate its monthly cost: people involved × hours per week. A rough number beats no number.
  3. Name an owner: one person who wants it fixed and can change how it runs.
Emerging (9-14 points)Close one missing foundation, then scope small.

The raw material is there, but one or two foundations are missing: typically the workflow is not documented, its data is scattered, or nobody owns the change. Fix the weakest dimension first; a build on top of it would wobble.

  1. Take your weakest dimension below and close it: document the workflow, map where its data lives, or name the owner.
  2. Define what “correct output” means for the workflow, in writing. Every reliable system is built against that definition.
  3. Then scope small: one workflow, one measurable outcome, weeks not quarters.
Ready (15-20 points)A scoped, fixed-price build makes sense now.

A scoped agentic system makes sense now. You can name the workflow, reach its data, and someone owns the change. The risk left is scope discipline: one workflow, delivered to a measurable outcome, not a platform.

  1. Write the one-page brief: the workflow, its monthly cost, what “done” looks like, who owns it.
  2. Decide the human-in-the-loop point: which decisions the system escalates to a person.
  3. Talk to a builder about a fixed-price, fixed-outcome first build, and hold anyone you talk to (us included) to weeks, not months.
Prime (21-24 points)Ahead of the pack. Waiting is the only real cost.

You are ahead of most mid-sized companies: measured workflow, reachable data, an owner, leadership backing. At this stage the cost is waiting: every month the workflow runs manually is measurable money, and the compounding benefits of a system that learns start only when it ships.

  1. Move directly to a scoped first build on your best-measured workflow, at a fixed price against a measurable outcome.
  2. Instrument it from day one. The before and after numbers fund every next workflow.
  3. Line up workflow number two now; the second build is faster and cheaper than the first.
FAQ

Fair questions, straight answers.

How long does the assessment take?

About two minutes. Twelve questions, three options each, no free-text fields. Your score and action plan arrive in your inbox right after you submit.

What do you do with my answers?

What does the score actually measure?

Readiness of one workflow for an agentic AI system, across four dimensions: opportunity clarity, data and systems, team and adoption, and leadership and investment. It measures organisational readiness, not how advanced your technology is.

Will you tell me if we are not ready?

Yes. That is the point. If your score lands in the Early band, the honest advice is to not build anything yet, and the action plan tells you what groundwork to do first. A system built before the groundwork is how AI pilots stall.

Is this free? Is there a sales call attached?

Free, and it stays free. No call is required to get your results. If your score says a build makes sense, we suggest a 30-minute intro call, also free and with no obligation.

Let's find the work you can hand off.

Bring one workflow that's slow, repetitive, or stuck on a few experts. We'll map what a custom agentic system could do, and what should stay human.

30 minutes, free, no obligation. No sales pitch. Just a straight read on whether it should become software, training, or nothing yet.
